The National Science and Technology Council (NSTC) and the Research Council of Lithuania (LMT) are jointly calling for proposals for the 2026 Taiwan–Lithuania (NSTC–LMT) Bilateral Agreement International Cooperative Research Projects. Applications will be accepted starting January 5, 2026.
Please complete the online submission via the NSTC website by 10:00 AM on March 5, 2026 (Thursday) to allow internal consolidation. Complete proposals should be submitted to the NSTC by March 9, 2026.

Details
- 1. In accordance with the bilateral Memorandum of Understanding on scientific and technological cooperation signed between the NSTC and Lithuania's LMT, proposals for the aforementioned joint research projects are hereby invited.
- 2. The project proposal must be jointly prepared by the principal investigators (PIs) from both sides and submitted separately to the NSTC and the LMT. If either side fails to receive the proposal, the collaborative project will not be established.
- 3. Selected projects will be funded under the bilateral agreement as project-based grants. The anticipated project start date is October 1, 2026, and the standard duration is two years. Appeals for rejected proposals will not be accepted.
