本學院招生為碩士班及博士班，碩士班報考資格-須為符合規定之大學畢業者或同等學力者，博士班報考資格-須為符合規定之碩士畢業者或同等學力者，並未限定畢業科系，若有相關學程領域學習/工作經驗，皆歡迎報考。

There is no restriction on the students' majors for applying for the academy. Those who have graduated from science and engineering-related departments or have academic/work experiences in related fields are welcome to apply.

院所會招收非四大四中的學生們嗎？

學院並沒有限定畢業學校招收，歡迎有志進修的您報考!!

The Academy is open to talents from all sorts of schools. There is no limit on where the students are coming from.

For domestic students, there are two admissions for the master’s programs of this academy every year: the first admission is based on screening test for all programs and the second admission may require a screening test or a written examination. It varies with the programs.

進入本學院，程式語言、設計 是否為必備技能呢?
Is Programming a necessary skill for entering this academy?
 

因應未來人才需求，學院學生須具備AI大數據及永續能源基本能力。學院學生錄取後皆須修習上述核心課程。而具有基本的計算機概論知識，相信對於AI核心課程的修習不會有困難。

In response to future talent requirements, our students must have the fundamental capabilities of AI and big data and sustainable energy. All students of the academy are required to take the above core courses during their studies at AISSM. Having basic knowledge of computing should be helpful for taking AI core courses.

進入本學院，需要哪方面的背景知識呢?
What kind of background knowledge do we need to enter this academy?
 

具備條件：理工相關領域學習或工作經驗背景。

Requirements: with academic or work experience/background in science and engineering-related fields.

本學院對英文基本要求有規定?
Does the academy have regulations on the basic requirements for English?
 

學院鼓勵科技人才國際接軌，因此學院課程提供部分英語授課，同時開放外籍生名額至學院就讀。期許學生能加強英文能力。而目前尚沒有制式的英文能力規定

The academy encourages tech talents to gear to international standards so a portion of the academy’s course offering is taught in English. At the same time, the academy is open for foreign students to study. Students are expected to enhance their English skills. At present, there is no set standard on the English proficiency requirement.

請問非本學院的碩士班可以申請逕讀半導體學院的博士班嗎？
May I apply for a direct admission to a doctoral program of AISSM if I am not enrolled in the master's program of the academy?
 

可以。逕讀博士班不限於本學院碩班學生申請，約於每年3月博士班一般招生時開放報名

Sure. Direct admission to doctoral program is not limited to the application of the master’s students of our academy. The doctoral program general admission will be open for application in March every year. 請問成大的碩士在學生進學院就讀，之前的修課學分可以一併同意嗎？
Can the credits of previous courses be waivered with the master students of NCKU when they enter the academy?
 

以本校碩士班在學階段欲就讀本學院，可申請逕博亦或申請轉所(學院目前並不規畫雙主修及輔修)本校碩士轉所生或逕博生，在學修習的課程若符合學位學程專業科目或經學位學程同意皆可承認畢業學分

Current master’s students of NCKU are eligible to apply to study at AISSM in a doctoral degree program or to transfer to a master’s program (the Academy does not currently have plans for double majors and minors). Direct-admission doctoral students or transfer students at AISSM may apply to have their previous courses be recognized as graduation credits if the courses they have taken correspond to the elective subjects set by their programs or the courses are approved by their degree programs.

各學位學程針對教授指導學生數的規定不同
■晶片：每一屆1碩1博為原則，可經主任同意後增收。
■製程：每一屆2碩1博為原則，可經主任同意後增收。
■封測：不限
■關鍵材料：不限
■永續：不限
附帶一提，合聘專任教授指導學生名額不受原系所名額限制。考取的學生可至本學院各學位學程網頁搜尋師資陣容，皆可自行洽詢名單內的教授擔任指導教授。若徵詢業界師資擔任指導教授，則需另尋校內教授共同指導。

The guidelines for supervising students vary by degree program:
■PICD: Generally, each professor supervises 1 master's and 1 doctoral student in each academic year, with additional admissions allowed with program’s director approval.
■PSMT: Generally, 2 master's and 1 doctoral student in each academic year, with program’s director approval for more.
■PSPT、KMAT、PSSM: No supervision limits.
Additionally, jointly appointed full-time professors are exempt from the original department's student cap. Admitted students can find on the website of each degree program for information about the faculty members. The students may contact the professors on the list for their consent to be their supervisors. If a teacher from the industry is sought to serve as a supervisor, a co-supervisor served by a faculty member will be required. Lists of faculty members: each degree program/Our People/Faculty

若於半導體學院找某位指導教授會和於他系找同一位指導教授有何區別？
To students, what is the difference between having a faculty member supervising as an AISSM professor and supervising as a professor of his/her home department?
 

教授指導不會有所區別，惟主要不同之處在於，本學院在課程的要求、研究上具產業多元連結，獎學金資源等，可能不同於教授其他系所指導的學生。

There will be no difference in the guidance of professors, but the main difference will be that the academy's curriculum requirements, research with multiple industrial links, scholarship resources, etc.. They could be different at the original departments.

學生如何尋求和企業專家擔任的共同指導教授互動的機會?
How can students seek opportunities to interact with industry experts who serve as co-advisors?

若有興趣尋找企業專家擔任共同指導，基本上可朝著兩個方向
1.學位學程聘任之企業專家兼任教師：從學位學程網頁「學程成員」中，找尋企業專家兼任教師，可自行聯繫專家諮詢，並需徵求指導教授同意。
2.與指導教授合作之企業專家：詢問指導教授研究規劃，由指導教授建議是否安排企業專家共同指導。

If students are interested in having an industry expert as a co-advisor, they can consider two main approaches:
1.Part time faculty members: Visit the degree program’s “Program Members” page to find part time faculty who are industry experts. Students may contact these experts directly for consultation, with approval from their primary advisor.
2.Industry partners of the primary advisor: Consult with the primary advisor regarding research plans, who may suggest relevant industry experts for co-advising.

想請問未來就學期間如何參與企業實習及共同研究？
How can students gain internship and collaborative research experience with industry during their studies?

本學院學生之企業實習是由企業提供實習職缺申請公告，學生自主選擇申請。學生亦可藉由參與指導教授的企業研究計畫累積與企業研發合作的經驗。

Internship positions are irregularly announced by companies, allowing students to apply independently. Students can also gain industry experience by participating in collaborative research projects with companies through their primary advisor’s ongoing projects.
